Growing up in a large European family, my childhood consisted of summers in the Azores with my great-grandfather. It was during one of those summers that I ventured upon a photo of my great-grandfather taken 80 years prior. When I saw that photo, I immediately realized how powerful the art of photography truly was/is.
Being a former NYC Nanny, I was present for so many firsts and I knew I wanted to be able to capture those magical, fleeting moments of childhood. It was a beautiful combination of my Azorean childhood summers and my nanny days that made me dive into photography head first.
If you want authenticity, then I’m your girl. Children are expected to run freely and have fun! Please refrain from saying cheese. I’ll gladly show you why. ;)
